I have been working in a special position in my city at a high school. I am a counselor/ youth advocate. I have hundreds of training hours but no official license. I have a bachelors and am thinking of moving to Raleigh in about one to two years. Anyone have atips for a guy who wants to work in a school setting as a counselor, who has a coaching certificate, plenty of life experience, four years paid in the field, and wants to go to college to get his Master’s?

I need help trying to find a career where I can make at least $70,000. I also would prefer a job that I could be doing some workout side, or at least a bit physical. I am an active person, so I don’t know if I could handle a desk job to well. I live in Michigan if that gives any one any help. I also prefer not to move out of Michigan, all my family is here so I wanna stay here.

I am a 23 year old Penn State grad. I have been out of school for two years. I have had 4 jobs, none of which were in my chosen field. I look online and in the paper every day for a new, better paying job, but I have just about given up. Either I don’t have the right degree, I don’t have job experience, or the pay is too low and I am overqualified. I have to pay a ton of bills, incuding student loans. I feel like I wasted tens of thousands of dollars on an education that got me nowhere. I live in Pittsburgh, where the job market is not that good to begin with. Is there anyone else that is struggling with finding a decent job because no one will give them a chance? Any tips for someone that is trying so hard, but not getting anywhere? How did you get the job that got you on your feet? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Finding work that is fulfilling is hard for me to do. The jobs don’t usually pay much or have lousy benefits. Are there free resources that assist people to choose a job that fits their personality and interests? Do you pursue something that you really love even though it may be risking your potential secure retirement in a job that you already have?

Husband drove gravel trains and needs to find a new career that will allow him to sit or stand as needed. Don’t know what options are availible to work out of our home but it would be preferred. He still likes to drive but it can not be gravel trains due to the wear and tear on his back.. I liked him home every night and weekends but most companies do not have short runs and send you over the road. Any suggestions?
